The dates for club nights are on the calendar below.
All bookings are done in person during a club night. CASH ONLY.
At club nights we often offer a workshop that can be booked in advance or on the night if places remain. The prices quoted are for existing members. Non-members are very welcome to join the club and can then book workshops.
NOTE: All bookings are non-transferrable and also non-refundable, unless you notify us in advance through the website and a replacement can be found. Refunds must be claimed on either of the next two sessions.
There is access to other art and craft materials or you can bring your own project.

Learn Together Group Session – Innocent Smoothie Hats
We recognise that knitting and crochet are difficult skills to teach to a group of people. We do however have members who are keen to learn and develop their skills, and others who have the experience and talent to teach them. We are therefore proposing a ‘buddy’ system for tonight. Let us know what level you are at i.e. beginner, improver and we will try to match you with someone who can help you to develop your skills. We propose using the Innocent ‘Big Knit’ patterns (thebigknit.co.uk) to keep the projects small. We have the wool. It would be appreciated if you were to bring your own needles (size 4mm (UK 8)) and hooks (size 3.5mm). FREE. Drop in anytime from 6.15 pm.

Workshop – Mindful Stitching (sometimes called Slow Stitching) Second project with Karen
We will be working to learn embroidery stitching skills, combining these with a patchwork of small pieces of amazing fabrics, and adding buttons. The final work can be framed in an embroidery hoop which will be included in the materials. Open to anyone, even with no sewing skills – there’s no need to have taken part in the first workshop.

Learn Together Group Session – Needle Felting
Open to everyone. No previous experience needed. Come with some ideas and use our special needles to turn our plentiful supply of wool into a textured shape or picture.
No booking is required. FREE.

Workshop – Felt Needle Case with Izzy
For the sewers amongst you or those of you who want to start, join Izzy for this workshop and create this essential piece of kit. Keep it simple with basic hand stitching or go to the next level by incorporating elaborate embroidery stitches and beads.

Workshop - Funky Beaded Frogs with Petra
Hop to it and try something new tonight. Thread beads onto wire then twist and bend to create a funky frog. Alternatively start with a more simple pattern and make a beautiful butterfly. Once you are mastered the technique, other patterns are available.

Workshop – Knitting Mills with Rachel
Learn how to use a knitting mill (like an automated French knitting tool) and use your knitted cords to cover wire and create all kinds of shapes and words! Your workshop fee covers 2m of wire, more can be provided for a small fee.

Date 11th August 2023
Workshop – Decorated Flower Pots with Chris
We will have a couple of different sized clay flowerpots available for you to purchase. Chris will show you some examples and share with you her hints and tips, then it’s over to you to decorate them as you wish. Acrylic paints, Posca pens, stencils, stamps, Decopatch paper and twine will be available to spark those creative juices. You may want to measure your windowsill before you come so you decorate a pot that fits.

Workshop – Textured Scarves with Sheila
Bitten by the knitting bug? Enjoy using unique yarn to create a soft scarf to take you into autumn. It is made with just two stitches per row and grows quickly. If you are super-fast, you may even finish it by the end of the evening!
